Our projects

Iboga Plantation

In 2023, we acquired a 2-hectare plot of land in a village about 3 hours’ drive from the capital city, Yaoundé, with the intention of gradually creating a large Iboga orchard, a Bwiti temple, an art school, and an orphanage.

During the following months, we carried out preparatory work on the land: the soil needed to be prepared, some trees had to be cleared, and then in July 2024, we were able to begin planting the first small Iboga seedlings. In this first phase, our budget allowed us to purchase about 10,000 Iboga seedlings, which covered only the first small part of the land—approximately half a hectare.

To our great joy, most of the Iboga plants took root successfully. The young trees are already blooming, and some are bearing fruit. The soil is fertile, and we are happy to witness the trees growing. We are now at the stage where, roughly one year later, the first trees are well rooted, but they still need ongoing care—especially regular weeding to ensure the Iboga plants have enough space and sunlight.

We would like to ask for your support, as our financial resources are now very limited. To complete the plantation on the remaining 1.5 hectares, we need additional funding to purchase seedlings and pay workers.

Estimated costs (2025-2026):

  • €400 to plant 1,000 Iboga seedlings, we need around 50 000 seedlings
  • €2,000 for creating a well and water storage system

Our Bwiti Temple

We want to build our own Bwiti temple on this land. Until then, initiations are held in Bwiti temples in the city of Yaoundé, at my mother’s and father’s place, or in the village of Mbankomo at my grandmother’s. Having our own temple would bring many advantages, especially the ability to connect more deeply with nature and the forest, since our land lies deep in the jungle.

We plan to build the temple and facilities from wooden planks, as it is much more affordable.

Estimated costs

The estimated cost for constructing the whole temple and the infrastructure for guests and initiations (such as toilets, a kitchen, and accommodation space) is between €15,000 and €20,000.

Estimated costs of 1st phase (2025-2026)

  • Essalouma (sanctuary) of the Bwiti temple
  • Initiation room
  • Two guest rooms
  • Toilets

Estimated cost: approximately €5,000

School of Traditional African and Bwiti Arts

To preserve Bwiti culture and traditions for our children and future generations, it is essential to educate and train them. On our land, we plan to create a school where long-term and structured learning will focus especially on:

  • Crafting sacred Bwiti harps (Ngomo)
  • Making other traditional instruments (mougongo, soki rattles, drums, etc.)
  • Making other traditional instruments (mougongo, soki rattles, drums, etc.)
  • Learning to play these instruments
  • Songs and dances
  • Visual arts – drawing and painting
  • Plant knowledge, medicine preparation, relationship with the forest and nature
  • Meditation and the art of inner concentration

We plan to organize school not only for our children but also for anyone from around the world interested in undergoing initiation with us.

Orphanage for Children

Our great wish and dream is to provide a home for children without families — of which there are many in Africa.

Bwiti is one big family, and through ceremonies, rituals, and the medicine Iboga, it can bring healing even to children and people who would otherwise live a very difficult life.

We would like to create a safe and loving home for these children, offering them a quality life grounded in what we cherish most: our Bwiti culture and the Iboga medicine.
